Patty McCormac, RN

Consumer Representative

Ms. McCormac is a healthcare provider, educator, and advocate. She believes working with Livanta provides an opportunity to help inform and grow the good this organization offers to patients, their families, and the healthcare providers they strive to engage, educate, and support in giving the best care possible.

Starting a nursing career at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center, Ms. McCormac gained experience in cardiology and oncology. From there, she moved into clinical research in lifestyle changes and their impact on heart disease and prostate cancer for 12 years, leading her to the role of director of clinical operations, working with an interdisciplinary team at the Preventive Medicine Research Institute. Ms. McCormac then worked with the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) as the program director for Northern California and the Pacific Northwest and just marked her 12th anniversary with NKF.

Ms. McCormac received a Bachelor of Arts in human biology from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of San Francisco.
